Most delays start at the origin. Every run assesses departure and arrival weather, current and forecast, before anything else is blamed.

Verified against the FAA

Ground stops, ground delay programs, and airport delays are pulled live from FAA NAS status. Nothing is attributed to "weather" without that check.

Ride comfort, kept separate

Turbulence is a comfort question, not a delay question. Pilot reports along your route are shown by phase of flight, weighted for your aircraft type.

The cut points were set by backtesting against US Bureau of Transportation Statistics on-time data, so each band corresponds to a real disruption rate rather than a guess. Every score comes with a line-item breakdown; zero-point lines are shown so you can see what was checked and found clean.

How a run works

  1. Identify the flight: carrier, aircraft, tail, schedule, and live position if airborne.
  2. Pull current observations and forecasts for both airports and their neighbors.
  3. Check FAA NAS status for programs at origin, destination, and nearby airports.
  4. Look for convective SIGMETs and the convective outlook along the route and around arrival time.
  5. Before departure, find the inbound aircraft and check whether it can make the turn.
  6. Score each input, sum, assign the band, and explain it in plain language.
